A road along the coast starts from the town of Chios and goes past the most picturesque and beautiful beaches of the Aegean Sea. In Daskalopetra the ancient statue of Kyveli is the first stop. Then, the road goes up the rocky mountainside and meets the grave of Psycharis facing the Asia Minor Coast. Then, it continues going past the little church of 'Panaghia Myrtidiotisa', which like a seagull embraces the rock above the clear blue sea. Afterwards, the bending road reaches the 'Bay of Glaron' (the Bay of Seagulls) and goes up the granite mountainside of 'Myliga'. Passing the old inn in 'Tholos' with the traditional shipyard and the mineral waters, the road keeps going uphill. At that point , it is impossible not to stop for a bird's eye view of 'Pantoukios', a picturesque natural harbour with beautiful neoclassical mansions, belonging to the village 'Sykiada', which is built on a rock. The road continues reaching the big and well-known village 'Lagada', which extends along the two sides of the natural harbour that faces the island of Oinousses. The road keeps going upwards and the eye of the traveler reflexively turns to the sea, where the sun hides behind the trees. Soon, the overgrown island of Tavros comes into view in the Bay of Delphini, where the 'delphinios' God Apollo was worshipped in ancient times.
